The Missouri Advisory Council of Historic Preservation will consider the nomination of a downtown Cape Giradreau district to the National Register of Historic Places during its Friday meeting in Jefferson City, Mo.
The council will consider the nomination of the Courthouse-Seminary Neighborhood Historic District, bounded by Middle, Themis, Main, Aquamsi and Morgan Oak streets, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
The boundaries include the Common Pleas Courthouse, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, B'nai Israel Synagogue and the Glenn House, plus other historic landmarks and properties.
The meeting, which is open to the public, starts at 9 a.m. in the La Charrette conference room of the Missouri Department of Resources' Lewis and Clark State Office Building, 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City.
