ST. VINCENT'S CREATES SCHOLAR BOWL TEAM

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- A junior high Scholar Bowl team has been created at St. Vincent de Paul School.

Members competed in their first scholar bowl March 2 at East Prairie. The team won two of their six rounds.

Students were chosen for the team after taking a test. Members practice each Monday with sponsors Carol Marshall and Jo Ann Debrock.

On the junior high level, scholar bowl competitions are held for seventh and eighth grade students. Some sixth graders compete on the St. Vincent seventh grade team.

Team members are Danny Wittenborn, Tommy Berkbigler, Amanda Drury, Sean Hagan, Jeremy Bratton, Ben Keefe, Ben Gosche, Nick Watts, Jenny Layton, Nichole Buehrle, Bruce Pfeiffer, April Thompson, Josh Glueck, Chris Canfield, Bart Elfrink, Chuck Prost, Julie Stoverink, Jeff Mueller and Jeremy Toll.
