ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A St. Louis man accused of fleeing the scene of an accident that killed two men now faces charges of involuntary manslaughter.
The Circuit Attorney's office on Thursday also charged 28-year-old Courtney Cooper with leaving the scene of an accident.
The wreck happened Sunday. Cooper allegedly attempted to pass two men in another truck who were trying to pull over to a diner. The vehicles collided and both trucks overturned onto their sides.
Police say 40-year-old Timothy Kreidler of Valley Park and 44-year-old David Ditzler of St. Louis were pronounced dead at the scene.
Cooper could not be reached for comment because he had no listed phone number.
