The wreck happened Sunday. Cooper allegedly attempted to pass two men in another truck who were trying to pull over to a diner. The vehicles collided and both trucks overturned onto their sides.

Police say 40-year-old Timothy Kreidler of Valley Park and 44-year-old David Ditzler of St. Louis were pronounced dead at the scene.

Cooper could not be reached for comment because he had no listed phone number.
