Tracy Jones entered the guilty plea on Friday. She was originally charged with first-degree murder in the death of Eugene Jones Jr. The mother was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

The boy died in January 2006. Tracy Jones told police the child had been injured in repeated falls. Police say Jones later confessed to beating the child, kicking him and smashing his body into the floor.
