TOWN AND COUNTRY, Mo. (AP) - The St. Louis County community of Town and Country will hire a sharpshooting company to kill 125 deer.

KTVI-TV (http://bit.ly/UAlHq1 ) reports that the measure is aimed at reducing accidents involving the growing population of deer in the community. Aldermen approved the plan Monday and did the same thing in 2011.

Resident Barbara Ann Hughes told board members the plan doesn't work because there were 63 deer-related accidents in 2011, most of those before the deer kill, and 65 this year.
