Lillian Martin has served the Head Start program in the south part of Cape Girardeau for the last 29 years. She has been a home-based educator, classroom teacher and site manager for the Cape Girardeau program.
She has served the most needy families in our community to help their children start school with skills needed to be successful. She has dedicated her life to helping highly at-risk children to succeed. Without her help many of these students and families would not have been on track to have a great start in school and life.
Community involvement:
Lillian is an active member of the Light House International Ministry Church, National Head Start Association and serves on the Success By 6 Leadership Team (United Way of Southeast Missouri).
