CAPE GIRARDEAU -- NTE Programs Specialty Area Exams will be offered April 27 at Southeast Missouri State University.

This additional exam, being offered at Southeast and four other Missouri testing centers, is an effort to meet the needs of students affected by a new state certification requirement, according to Jewel Eggley, university testing supervisor.

Under the new criteria, students completing a Missouri teacher education program must take the appropriate exam before teacher certification is granted.
