Cal Rockefeller, area manager of Cinema Billboard Network, a division of Technicolor, will speak at a luncheon meeting of the Tri-State Advertising and Marketing Professionals in Cape Girardeau on Aug. 10.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at noon at the Cape West 14 Cine at 247 Siemers Dr.
CBN provides on-screen slide movie advertising throughout much of the United States.
Rockefeller has been an executive with the company for more than 11 years.
A native of Shreveport, La., he has been in the advertising business since 1967 and was vice president of two advertising agencies.
In his position as an account supervisor, he handled such accounts as Richard Nixon's successful presidential campaigns in 1968 and 1972. He also has handled advertising for Pepsi, The Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association, nine major utility companies and more than 45 successful political campaigns.
He first retired in 1974 and moved to Destin, Fla., where he purchased a beer distributorship and two minor league baseball teams in the Double A Texas League.
He subsequently sold all those businesses and retired a second time to a farm in the Missouri Ozarks before beginning a third career with CBN.
