Jim Murray, District 10 engineer for the Missouri Highways and Transportation Department in Southeast Missouri, will be one of two guest speakers at Tuesday's West End Merchants Association meeting.
Murray will discuss the department's construction project at Interstate 55 and Route K.
Also on the program will be Doug Leslie, the city's public works director, who will discuss the proposed transportation sales tax.
The West End Merchants Association, a newly organized group of business people west of Kingshighway, will meet Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at West Park Mall in space formerly occupied by Port Cape West restaurant.
