Jenkins knew about the book throughout her early years but didn't really discover what it could do for her until after college. "I turned to the book for help in healing," said Jenkins. "Eddy's book has given me a sense of permanence and presence of God's love in my life."

When Eddy wrote her book some 123 years ago she said, "The time for thinkers has come."
