Southeast Missouri State University's Symphonic Wind Ensemble will present its winter concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Academic Auditorium.
The winter concert will feature works by living American composers Timothy Mahr, William Schuman, and Warren Benson.
Mahr's "Fantasia in G" will open the concert. Mahr is an assistant professor at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
The wind ensemble will also perform Schuman's three-movement New England Triptych, with movements: "Be Glad Then, America," "When Jesus Wept," and "Chester." Schuman has served as president of the Julliard School of Music and also of the Lincoln Center in New York.
This American musical celebration will conclude with a piece by Benson titled "The Solitary Dancer."
General admission is $4. Tickets for senior citizens and students are $2. Southeast faculty, staff and students will be admitted free with a valid I.D.
