The National Teachers Hall of Fame said being considered a finalist for this most prestigious professional honor is indicative of the influence Riemann has had on the lives of her students. As a result of being named a 2011 finalist, she will automatically be eligible for consideration for induction in 2012. Last year, she was named a semifinalist.

Riemann recently was recognized for 10 years of service to the university.
