Southeast Missouri State University students have elected Chris Robertson as the new president of Student Government.

Robertson, a sophomore who serves on the Judicial Board, won in a three-way race, defeating former Student Government treasurer Jason Crowe and student senator Gabe Hinkebein.

Chris Kirk was elected vice president, defeating student senator and elections chairman Jerry Cunningham. Kirk is chairman of Student Government's funding board.

Donna Chandler was elected treasurer. She defeated senator Mark Davis.

For the first time, students also elected officers for the Student Activities Council. The group sponsors different cultural activities on campus.

The officers are Nathan Cooper, president; Joe Taylor, vice president, and Matt Blake, treasurer. All three ran unopposed.

The election was held on Tuesday and Wednesday.
