Southeast Student Government to hold pledge drive

Joining universities across the country, the Student Government at Southeast Missouri State University wants students to turn out from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today to sign pledges against sexual violence.

Chief of staff Lydia Ness said the campaign is called "These Hands Don't Hurt."

Cut outs of 2,000 hands will be available for students to sign at the University Center and the Towers dorms. The hands will be posted on the large glass window of the University Center and on a wall at Towers.

Ness said the event is being held during "common hour" when most students don't have class.
