Southeast Showcase celebrates a decade of food, fun and service to the community tonight. More than 40 area restaurants and vendors will dish up food and beverages for guests to sample.
The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Show Me Center. Tickets are available at the door.
Last year's event attracted more than 1,000 people, and organizers are hoping for an even bigger crowd this year. "Happy Birthday Showcase" is this year's theme.
The event is sponsored by the Southeast Missouri Hospital Foundation. Southeast Showcase has raised more than $135,000 in support of patient care improvements at the hospital in the last decade.
Live music is also an integral part of the evening's entertainment. As the pre-show, the Cape Girardeau Academy of Dance arts will present a high-stepping, high-precision dance routine.
Then, The Atlantic Express, an 11-piece band from Kansas City, will perform songs from the last four decades.
