SOUTHEAST REGENTS OK $1.36 BUS GARAGE

The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents Tuesday approved plans for construction of a $1.36 million storage and maintenance building for the school's shuttle buses.

Federal funds will pay 80 percent of the cost, school officials said. The building will be constructed in a corner of the university's parking lot on Washington Avenue, east of Sprigg.

Dr. Ken Dobbins, executive vice president, said the $70,000 value of the campus site is included as part of the local share of the cost.

In other action, the regents approved guidelines and procedures to create a Regent Emeriti Society for the school's former regents.

School officials said the society will allow the university to maintain ties to the former regents.
