Louisa Panou-Takahasi, assistant professor of voice at Southeast Missouri State University, will give an operatic recital Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. at Old St. Vincent's Church.
Assisting Panou-Takahasi will be bass-baritone David Smalley, professor of voice at the University of Northern Iowa, and tenor Christopher Goeke, an assistant professor of voice at Southeast Missouri State University.
The program will consist of operatic arias and duets from Mozart's "Don Giovanni," Verdi's "La Traviata," Puccini's "La Boheme" and Offenbach's "Orpheus in the Underworld."
Miguel Pinto, former special assistant of Leonard Bernstein, will accompany the recital. Smalley and Pinto will offer a master's class for voice majors at Southeast Missouri State Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. in Brandt Music Room 205.
Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for senior citizens and individuals under 18. Students will be admitted free with an ID. Tickets will be available at the door.
