Others who sang for Southeast included Lance Lancaster and Donna Smith of Cape Girardeau.

The three-round competition is held on the state level bi-annually. Participants are classified into one of nine divisions based on age and year in school. During each round, singers performed selections from memory for a three-judge panel.

Sponsoring this year's participants in the NATS Auditions were Southeast voice faculty members Christopher Goeke and Louisa Panou-Takahashi. The two also served as adjudicators for the competition in divisions in which Southeast students were not participating.
