"We have completely revamped our classified section," said Pat Zellmer, Missourian Advertising Director for display and classified advertising. "Our classified staff has been working diligently for a long time in preparations for the new section."

The staff includes classified ad manager Pat Mungle, Jo Rodgers, Renee Dwyre, and Genetha Johnson.

Zellmer said the new state-of-the-art system was designed to be more specialized and answer advertisers' requests and needs.

The capabilities are endless, said Zellmer. "In the future we will be able to network with other papers in our newspaper group."

The new system provides up to 150 different listings under more than a dozen categories, including notices, farms & pets, services, rental, real estate, transportation, merchandise and others.

The first of the new-look Missourian classified section ran last week, said Zellmer.

In the process of converting over, there have been a few glitches," she said. Some ads have been left out, and there have been some mistakes in others.

"We regret these kinks and glitches," said Zellmer.
