Southeast Missouri State University is prepared to seize the day as the campus celebrates its diversity.

"Carpe Diem Extravaganza: Where the World Comes Together" is planned for Saturday at the university.

The free campuswide event, presented by the Office of Residence Life and Dining, Student Government, and the Office of the Dean of Students, is scheduled for 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom.

The evening's events will include a flamenco dancer, performances by a live DJ and band, free Henna tattoos, and international cuisine and beverages. Participants will be entered for the chance to win an LCD television, digital camera or MP3 player.
