MATTHEWS, Mo. -- A New Madrid man was killed after the tractor-trailer he was driving crashed and caught on fire Friday in New Madrid County. At 8:43 a.m. Bradley P. Mickle, 41, of New Madrid was driving a tractor-trailer eastbound on Route H, four miles west of Matthews, when he traveled off the right side of the road, overcorrected, drove off the left side of the road, struck a bridge and drove into a ditch where the vehicle was consumed by fire, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports...

MATTHEWS, Mo. -- A New Madrid man was killed after the tractor-trailer he was driving crashed and caught fire Friday in New Madrid County, the Standard Democrat reported. At 8:43 a.m. Bradley P. Mickle, 41, of New Madrid was driving a tractor-trailer eastbound on Route H, four miles west of Matthews, when he traveled off the right side of the road, overcorrected, drove off the left side of the road, struck a bridge and drove into a ditch where the vehicle was consumed by fire, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports. Mickle was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:15 a.m. by New Madrid County Coroner Jimmy McSpadden and taken to Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.
