A total of 172 Southeast Missouri Hospital employees were recognized for a total of 1,540 years of service at the hospital's 24th employee awards banquet last Wednesday.
Commemorative pins in recognition of 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of service were presented by hospital administrator James W. Wente.
Commended for 25 years of service were Norman Anderson, assistant director of the hospital's clinical lab; James L. Hendrickson, pharmacy director; Jeannie Hill, BSN, RN, an instructor with the Southeast Missouri Hospital School of Nursing; and Lois Scott, RN, surgery director.
Eleven employees were recognized for having reached the 20-year-service milestone: Vera Adams, RN, 4-South; Delores C. Burger, personnel; Diana Edwards, NA, surgery; Henrietta Gilles, NA, surgery; Linda Heitman, MSN, RNC, clinical nurse specialist; Vicki Lange, RN, home health; Pauline Lungwitz, RN, quality improvement; Bonnie Macke, central service; Mary Renne, pathology lab; Gail Wichern, NA, 3-South; and Hazel Yount, RN, 4-South.
In addition, 19 employees were honored for 15 years of service, 51 for 10 years of service and 85 for five years of service to Southeast.
