Southeast Missouri State University has awarded several scholarships to area seniors.
Regents' scholarships are awarded to high school seniors who have achieved an ACT composite score of 27 or SAT score of 1,220. Students must also have a high school grade-point average of 3.5 or graduate in the top 10 percent of their class. High school valedictorians who have an ACT composite score of 25 or SAT score of 1,140 also are eligible for the scholarship, as are National Merit Semifinalists and National Achievement Semifinalists. The award covers incidental fees up to 32 hours an academic year for up to four consecutive years.

Melinda R. Burnett of Jackson. She is will graduate this year from Jackson High School and is the daughter of Bob and Rosalie Burnett.
Jennifer C. Markin of Cape Girardeau. She is a senior at Cape Central High School and is the daughter of Kenneth and Paula Markin.
Saira Khan of Cape Girardeau. She will graduate from Cape Central High School this year and is the daughter of Khalid and Iffat Khan.
Tara M. Herbst of Cape Girardeau. She is a senior at Jackson High School and is the daughter of Donna and Douglas Herbst.
Kelly L. Wesbecher of Marble Hill. She is a senior at Leopold High School and is the daughter of Ron and Pam Wesbecher.
Ross Daniel McFerron of Advance. He will graduate from Advance High School this year and is the son of Kenny and Jan McFerron.
Amy E. Elfrink of Whitewater. She is a senior at Delta High School and is the daughter of Gerald and Carole Elfrink.
Nathan L. Brown of Jackson. He will graduate from Jackson High School this year and is the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Ronnie Brown.
Kevin Lankheit of Cape Girardeau. He is a senior at Notre Dame High School and is the son of Cliff and Melanie Lankheit.
Joanna D. Lee of Cape Girardeau. She will graduate from Cape Central High School this year and is the daughter of Thomas and Gay Lee.
Krista L. Coleman of Cape Girardeau. She is a senior at Cape Central High School and is the daughter of Mark and Rebecca Coleman.
Dana K. Gillen of Marble Hill. She will graduate from Woodland High School this year and is the daughter of Mary Gillen.
Amanda H. Peterman of Cape Girardeau. She is a senior at Cape Central High School and the daughter of Neal F. and Elizabeth Peterman.
Abby G. Grossheider of Advance. She will graduate from Jackson High School this year and is the daughter of Donna Kielhofner of Advance and Don Grossheider of Cape Girardeau.
Michelle L. Otte of Jackson. She is a senior at Jackson High School and the daughter of Joseph Otte and Mona Otte.
Amy E. Stroder of Leopold. She will graduate from Leopold High School this year and is the daughter of DeWayne and Elaine Stroder.
Julia L. Cutsinger of Glen Allen. She is a senior at Woodland High School and is the daughter of Walter and Beverly Cutsinger.
Joshua D. Hopkins of Jackson. He will graduate from Jackson High School this year and is the son of David and Theresa Hopkins.
Sally S. Welter of Chaffee. She is a senior at Notre Dame High School and is the daughter of Franklin and Linda Welter.
Joshua A. Burger of Oak Ridge. He will graduate from Jackson High School this year and is the son of Stephanie Avila of Oak Ridge and Carl Burger of Glen Allen.
Christina M. Van Nostrand of Cape Girardeau. She is a senior at Cape Central High School and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom L. Martin.
Mark K. Ostendorf of Cape Girardeau. He will graduate from Notre Dame High School this year and is the son of Ken and Mary Ann Ostendorf.
Lisa R. Sanders of Scott City. She is a senior at Scott City High School and is the daughter of Deborah Cox and Don Sanders.
The President's scholarships are awarded to high school seniors who achieve an ACT composite score of 24 or score 1,110 on the SAT. Recipients must also rank in the upper 20 percent of their high school class or achieve a high school grade-point average of 3.5. The scholarship is also awarded to students who are their class valedictorian and achieve an ACT composite score of 21 or score 990 on the SAT, and to National Merit Commended Scholars. The scholarship is worth $1,500 an academic year.

Daniel J. Kerber of Cape Girardeau. He is a senior at Cape Central High School and the son of Daniel and Donna Kerber.
Nicole A. Roth of Cape Girardeau. She will graduate from Notre Dame High School this year and is the daughter of Julie Valle of Cape Girardeau and Clayton Roth of St. Mary's.
W. Steven LeGrand II of Kelso. He is a senior at Notre Dame High School and is the son of Bill and Teresa LeGrand.
Kristin N. Bailey of Chaffee. She will graduate from Chaffee High School this year and is the daughter of Charles and Teresa Clark. She also received the Missouri Leadership Award, a one-year award of $500 to be applied toward residence hall fees, and designed for Missouri students who have demonstrated leadership, scholarship and involvement.
April D. Matlock of Gordonville. She is a senior at Jackson High School and is the daughter of Gary and Patty Matlock.
Deanna M. Winchester of Whitewater. She will graduate from Delta High School this year and is the daughter of Wade and Terry Winchester. She also received the Missouri Leadership Award.
Jason M. Van de Ven of Leopold. He will graduate from Leopold High School this year and is the son of Ray and Sharon Van de Ven. He also received the Missouri Leadership Award.
Kristin N. Burton of Cape Girardeau. She is a senior at Scott City High School and is the daughter of Kristina Burton and Jeff Burton. She also received the Missouri Leadership Award.
Jennifer M. Prost of Cape Girardeau. She will graduate from Cape Central High School this year and is the daughter of Rick and Becky Prost. She also received the Missouri Leadership Award.
Julie L. Wunderlich of Jackson was awarded the Missouri Leadership Award.
Julie R. Burford of McClure, Ill., has been awarded a University Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who rank at least in the upper 20 percent of their high school class or have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 after six semesters and achieve an ACT composite score of 24 or SAT score of 1,110. The scholarship is also awarded to National Merit Commended Scholars. The award is worth $2,500 an academic year.
She is a senior at Shawnee High School and the daughter of Ronald and Janis Burford.
Thomas P. Wencewicz of Cape Girardeau has been awarded the Boy's State Leadership Award to attend Southeast. The award is a $246 one-time award, to be applied toward general fees and given to beginning freshmen who have attended Boy's State and who have a 3.0 grade-point average after six high school semesters.
He will graduate from Notre Dame High School this year and is the son of Thomas and Dorothy Wencewicz.
