Lambda Chi Alpha's North American Food Drive is being conducted in Cape Girardeau this week.
The local drive will benefit FISH and the goal is to collect 1,500 pounds of food.
In all, 222 Lambda Chi Alpha chapters are conducting food drives this week. The fraternity's international goal is to collect 100,000 pounds of food.
Approximately 2,000 Cape Girardeau residents will receive empty grocery bags and are asked to contribute.
Donations will be collected and brought to the fraternity house. The canned goods will be turned over to the FISH organization.
