Some areas of Wappapello lake closed today

WAPPAPELLO, Mo. -- Those hoping for some weekend recreation at Wappapello Lake this weekend will have limited options.

due to rising waters in the lake, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is closing some public facilities, according to a Corps news release sent out today.

Among the closed areas are People's Creek Boat Ramp, Rockwood Point Boat Ramp, Greenville Recreation Area, Greenville Campground, sundowner Boat Ramp and Possum Creek Boat Ramp. State Highway D will remain open.
