The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude-2.3 earthquake struck at 5:31 a.m. Friday, 10 miles east of Malden, Missouri.
The quake’s epicenter had a depth of 4.1 miles near the intersection of U.S. 62 and County Road 537 in New Madrid County.
No damage was reported, and no residents reported feeling the quake on the USGS website.
