Holder said the remains are those of Trenton Terrell "Terry" Akridge, who was reported missing July 9, 1993.

The annual Peach Festival was winding down in Campbell at the time Akridge disappeared. Efforts to find the missing man were unsuccessful until Nov. 19 when a hunter discovered the skeletal remains in a field off Dunklin County Road 228 near Campbell.

From analysis of DNA samples, officers have determined the samples were consistent with those of the missing man.
