PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. -- Authorities have arrested six people in Pemiscot County for property damage following a report from a local farm operation.
According to Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell, Pemiscot County deputies and Bootheel Drug Task Force agents arrested six people late Thursday afternoon for property damage.
Deputies were called to Rone Farms, south of Portageville, early Thursday morning where it was learned sometime during the early or late evening hours Wednesday night, vehicles created ruts in a planted bean field resulting in about $4,000 in damage.
Agents and deputies arrested the six people after seeing them during a surveillance operation in the north end of Pemiscot County, Greenwell said.
Names are being withheld pending formal charges by the Pemiscot County prosecutor's office.
