The victim was identified as Mary Gillum, 40. The Missouri Highway Patrol said the accident occurred at 4:45 a.m. on Route T, four miles west of Puxico.

Gillum's vehicle was eastbound at the time of the accident.
Gillum was the 89th person to die in traffic accidents in the patrol's Troop E area of Southeast Missouri this year.
