A Sikeston, Mo., teenager is in serious condition following a Sunday night four-wheeler accident.
According to the Missouri State Highway, April Griswell, 19, was a passenger on a four-wheeler driven by 23-year-old Tyler D. Emerson of Sikeston when it was rear-ended by a four-wheeler driven by 17-year-old Dakoda S. Watkins of Sikeston. Griswell was thrown from the vehicle and into the roadway, where she was run over by Emerson. The accident occurred on County Route 539, one mile east of Miner, Mo., at 10:19 p.m.
Griswell was taken by air to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Emerson and Watkins received minor injuries in the accident. None of them were wearing safety devices.
