SIKESTON, Mo. — A Sikeston teenager was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday in New Madrid County. SIKESTON, Mo. — A Sikeston teenager was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday in New Madrid County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 5:20 p.m. on U.S. 60, two miles west of Sikeston, as southbound motorist Daniel J. Lane, 17, of Sikeston attempted to cross the road and was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by Larry F. Spradley, 65, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Lane was air evacuated to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Spradley was reportedly not injured.
