SIKESTON -- A Sikeston teen-ager was seriously injured in a one car accident at 1:20 p.m. Saturday.

Cory Goetz, 16, of Sikeston was traveling northbound on Route AA three miles south of Sikeston when the 1988 Ford Ranger he was driving went out of control and turned over several times.

Goetz was taken to the Missouri Delta Hospital in Sikeston. He remains in the hospital's intensive care unit. Hospital representatives would not comment on his condition.

Goetz was not wearing a seat belt, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
