Police say McBenge, who was in the area doing construction work, was arrested without incident at the Comfort Inn early Saturday. He's being held in the Polk County jail on $1 million bond. The sheriff's office had no information on whether he has an attorney.

Police say McBenge is also suspected in at least two other killings in the St. Charles area.
