A Sikeston, Mo., man died in a motorcycle accident while a Glen Allen, Mo., man was sent to the hospital after being ejected from his Jeep in separate accidents earlier today.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Keith P. Williams, 52, of Sikeston was driving his 1985 Honda motorcycle around 12:15 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve on Route AA near Miner, Mo. The motorcycle then ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned, coming to a rest on County Road 807.
A passenger on the motorcycle, Brenda R. Harris, 49, of Sikeston, was treated for moderate injuries at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Williams was pronounced dead by New Madrid County coroner Jim McSpadden at 1:15 a.m.
Meanwhile, Michael C. Woods, 29, of Glenallen was injured after he was ejected from his 1999 Jeep east of Gordonville. The accident occurred around 2:10 a.m. when Woods ran off the right side of Route OO, struck an embankment and overturned.
Woods was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
