SIKESTON, Mo. - A Sikeston man was injured after driving his Ford Explorer off a bridge Sunday night. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol at around 6:58 p.m. Jimmy D Smith, 52, was driving his 1996 Ford Explorer westbound on County Road 472. The Explorer ran off the edge of a bridge, overturned and burned. Smith was transported by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, where he was treated for moderate injuries...

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol at around 6:58 p.m. Jimmy D Smith, 52, was driving his 1996 Ford Explorer westbound on County Road 472. The Explorer ran off the edge of a bridge, overturned and burned. Smith was transported by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, where he was treated for moderate injuries.

The Explorer was totaled and Smith was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
