BENTON -- The Scott County Sheriff's Department has reported the arrest of a 29-year-old Sikeston man.
Kevin Weakley is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. His bond is set at $250,000.
According to reports, Weakley was arrested Monday in his back yard as he ran from officers from the Scott County Sheriff's Department, Sikeston Department of Public Safety and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The officers entered the front door of his residence to serve and execute a search warrant.
Several packets of what is believed to be illegal narcotics (cocaine) were discovered on Weakley's person and more were located inside the residence.
