Sikeston library schedules book sale

SIKESTON, Mo. -- This year's Sikeston Public Library book sale is set for 5 to 8 p.m. April 4, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 5, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 6 and 1 to 3 p.m. April 7.

Library director Sue Tangeman said people have caught onto the fact that the books don't last long at sale prices and turn out in droves.

Proceeds from the book sale are used to purchase needed items such as the children's materials.

Last year's sale raised about $1,500 for the library.
