Siemers Drive at Bloomfield Road will be closed for three weeks starting Monday for work on the Bloomfield Road Extension Project.
And Bloomfield at Siemers will be restricted to one lane of traffic until the end of the construction project in three to four weeks.
Bloomfield Road will stay open, said city engineer Mark Lester. "You just won't be able to get to it from Siemers," he said.
Crews will be rebuild the intersection, he said, including taking asphalt off Bloomfield and replacing it with concrete.
The city will pay $500,000 for the project, which extends Siemers about 1,600 feet from Bloomfield to Missouri Route 74.
Drury Southwest is building the extension through an agreement with the city, Lester said. Work started this summer and should be completed next year.
