SCOTT CITY -- An open discussion with local historian Edison Shrum will highlight tonight's meeting of the Lutheran Heritage Society.
The group will gather at 6 p.m. at the Scott City Park on Ruth Street. Those attending are asked to bring a sack snack. Drinks and desserts will be provided.
Shrum is an author of more than 16 books about such topics as Wittenberg, the Lutherans of Wayne County, slaves and slaveowners of Cape Girardeau County, histories of Scott County, earthquakes, magnetic storms and solar patterns. He has also published numerous newspaper and magazine articles.
The public is invited to attend.
