The Cape Shrine Club will present five performances by the Franzen Brothers Circus this weekend in Cape Girardeau.
Okha, a 20-year-old Asian elephant, and 10-year-old African elephants Kosti and Megu are among the animals featured in the circus. Okha not only performs but gives rides on the circus midway.
The circus also offers a wild animal act consisting of 10 Bengal and Siberian tigers.
Performances will be given at the former Central Hardware store at 350 South Broadview.
Times are 7 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the gate for everyone over the age of 2. They can be purchased at the Shrine ticket office at 225 South Plaza Way or at Schnucks, Albert Sanders Hardware in Jackson or Circle S Saddle Company in Gordonville. Advance tickets are not available on show day.
