Around 10 p.m. Sunday night, officers responded to a report of shots fired at 1713 Montgomery St. in Cape Girardeau.
When officers arrived they reported that the home had sustained damage from multiple gun shots, said Cpl. Darin Hickey of the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
A police report filed Monday morning says a television, couch, window, siding and interior walls were damaged at the home.
No injuries were reported.
No suspects are in custody at this time and the case is still under investigation, Hickey said.
Hickey said witnesses did see a vehicle in the area at the time shots were fired, but that no more information could be released because there was no evidence it was the suspect's vehicle.
Earlier on Sunday, at approximately 3:30 p.m., there was another report of shots fired on South Hanover Street, but no damage was found and no one reported being a witness, Hickey said.
Anyone with information on either shooting is asked to call the police department at 335-6621 or the anonymous tip line at 339-5101.
