Crews from Ameren Missouri inspect a large tree limb laying across power lines on Roberts St. near N. Main Street Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in Cape Girardeau. A thunderstorm moved through Cape Girardeau County shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday, knocking out power to over 2,600 Ameren Missouri customers in the Cape Girardeau area. A resident along E. Cape Rock Dr. said the storm lasted only five minutes, but it was long enough for the strong winds to drop large tree limbs onto his house.
