The suspect in a Cape Girardeau shooting was bound over for trial Monday after a Cape Girardeau County judge found probable cause at the man's preliminary hearing.
Tommy Joe Davis III, 30, faces charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action in connection with a June 4 shooting that injured a Cape Girardeau man at a home on Olive Street. Arraignment is set for Aug. 18.
Judge Scott Thomsen also denied Davis' request for a bond reduction.
Davis' bond is set at $250,000 cash only. In July, a public defender representing Davis asked Thomsen to reduce his bail to $100,000 cash or surety.
