The Scott County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in bringing a suspect into custody.
Don Chappell, 45, is wanted by the State of Missouri for violating his parole from the St. Louis Community Release Center, according to information provided by the department. Chappell had been serving a sentence for two counts of felony burglary.
Chappell, who is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 205 pounds, has blue eyes and long red hair often worn in a ponytail, according to a release. He is partially bald and has varying degrees of facial hair, according to the release.
Chappell was recently spotted in Oran, but his current location is unknown. He is still believed to be in Southeast Missouri.
Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter is urging people to be careful if Chappell approaches them, as he is known to have violent tendencies, according to the release. The sheriff stated in the release that anyone who observes Chappell should immediately contact local law enforcement agencies, and call 911 if inside Scott County.
