Seventh annual back-to-school fair planned for July 26

The seventh annual East Missouri Action Agency back-to-school fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 26 at Red Star Baptist Church, 1316 N. Main St., Cape Girardeau.

Targeting economically disadvantaged Cape Girardeau County school-age children, attendees must verify they meet income guidelines. Pre-registration is required at East Missouri Action Agency, 1111 Linden, Cape Girardeau.

All children must attend the fair to receive services, including free school supplies. Services include immunization checks, BMI screenings, health screenings and free school supplies.

Volunteers are still needed to help with the fair and space is available for information booths. Anyone wishing to donate school supplies, volunteer time and/or financial support may contact Ken Smith or Erin Martin at 334-5533 or (800) 430-2978.
