SEVEN PERSONS INJURED, MAN CHARGED, IN WRECK

Seven people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 1 a.m. Friday. The driver of one of the vehicles was arrested for drunk driving, said Cape Girardeau Police.
Todd S. Beggs, 21, Cape Route 2, was charged with driving while intoxicated and second degree assault Friday following the accident at Perryville Road and Belleridge Pike. Beggs' bond was set at $2,000.

Police said Beggs crossed the center line and hit head-on a vehicle driven by Nicole M. Rockey, 1873 Harbor Mill Dr., Fenton.
Both drivers, along with five passengers in Rockey's vehicle, were injured in the crash.
