Seven students have been awarded scholarships from the Southeast Missouri State University College of Science and Technology.
Cindy L. James of Cape Girardeau was awarded the S. David Nunley Scholarship to attend the university next academic year. The scholarship is awarded a pre-pharmacy student or those who have shown an interest in attending pharmacy school.
Keith E. Kosharek of Scott City and Kent A. Noyes of Cape Girardeau were awarded the La Verne Thompson Computer Science Scholarship for next school year. The scholarship is awarded annually to computer science majors exhibiting unusual interest in computer science and possessing the capability of pursuing graduate work in the field.
Bryan D. Miller of McClure, Ill., has been awarded the A.F. Hendricks Scholarship in Physics for next school year. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of general scholarship and promise of unusual success in physics.
Hope C. Wagner and Patricia A. LaForest, both of Cape Girardeau, have been awarded the Betty Berry Glenn Science Scholarship to attend the university next school year. The scholarship is given annually to any high school graduate majoring in science.
Marta R. Retherford of Millersville was awarded the Donald H. Froemsdorf Scholarship for next school year. The scholarship is awarded annually to a student majoring within the College of Science and Technology.
Angela M. Diecker of Cape Girardeau has been warded the Gersbacher Zoology Achievement Award for next school year. The award for excellence of scholastic achievement is made annually to a junior or senior majoring in biology with a concentration in zoology.
