The all-new Sesame Street Live features 90 minutes of fun with Big Bird, Grover, Bert, Ernie, Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch and others.

The stage show, "Big Bird and the ABC's," was written by David Connell and Jim Thurman, head writers for the Children's Television Workshop, which produces Sesame Street.

The show takes the educational elements of the series and combines them on stage to tell the tale of Tee Hee a space creature from the planet Crayon and how she learned her ABC's.

The Friday, April 9, show begins at 7:30 p.m. and is KFVS Opening Night, with all tickets priced at $6. On Saturday, April 10, the Southeast Missourian will host the 10:30: a.m. show, with $1.50 off for children under 12.

The Schnucks $2-off-coupon performance will be held at 2 p.m. April 10. The K103-FM Easter matinee will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 11, with $1.50 off for children under 12.

Ticket prices for Saturday and Sunday shows are $9 for the lower level and $8 for the upper level, with $1.50 discounts for children under age 12. No double discounts will be offered.

Tickets are available at the Show Me Center box office, the University Center information desk, Schnucks, Disc Jockey Records in Cape Girardeau, Carbondale, Ill., and Paducah, Ky., and main branches of Capital banks in Jackson, Perryville, Poplar Bluff and Sikeston.
