PADUCAH, Ky. -- Confessed serial killer Timothy Krajcir received his 14th life sentence Thursday after he pleaded guilty in a McCracken County courtroom to kidnapping resulting in a death.
Krajcir, 65, also received a sentence of 20 years for a first-degree burglary. He confessed to kidnapping Joyce Tharp from her Paducah residence in 1979 and driving her to Carbondale, Ill., where he killed her and drove her back to Paducah.
Krajcir was moved to McCracken County last week from the Stateville Correctional Center where he was serving an 80-year-sentence for two Illinois murders.
In 2008, Krajcir confessed to five murders committed in Cape Girardeau during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
