Dexter farmer Charles Kruse, Missouri Farm Bureau president, said Bond has an impressive track record of support for agricultural issues and rural interests.

"During his two terms as governor of Missouri, and during his two terms as U.S. senator from our state, Kit Bond has proven his support of farmers, ranchers and rural Missourians," Kruse said.

Trustees representing local FARM-PACS statewide attended the meeting in Jefferson City resulting in Bond's endorsement. For the endorsement to be made, at least two-thirds of trustees had to vote in support of a particular candidate.
